Robert "Cap. Bob" J. Gourgues

Robert “Capt. Bob” J. Gourgues, 72, a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Co-Cathedral, Thibodaux, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by his life partner, Theresa Peters; step son, Scott Hartman; granddaughter, Autumn Breaux; siblings, Michael Gourgues (Cherie); Diana Luikart (Carl), Toni Hernandez (Lou), Missy Landry (Grant) and Bill Gourgues (Shelley); many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Col. Harold Gourgues and Lucy Russo Gourgues.
Capt. Bob was producer and host of Between the Banks Fishing Television Show. He was an advocate for all things South Lafourche, especially Leeville. He was loved and known by everyone up and down the bayou. He will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers masses are preferred.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
