Robert "Bobby" Marshall Bass

Robert “Bobby” Marshall Bass, 77, native of Opelousas and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 30 years, Myra H. Bass; his children, Kevin R. Bass (Christine), Bryan T. Bass, Christina Marie LeGrande (Peter), and Lauren Bass Bergeron (Joshua); his grandchildren, Paige, Hope, MaCaila, Cole, Reece, Anna, Lucas, Jocelyn, Zachary, and one on the way; his great-grandchild, Levi; and his siblings, Rene, Hilda Mae, and Denise.

Bobby was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert Walter and Hilda Mae Sanders Bass; his grandson; and his brothers, Larry, Russell, and David. 

Bobby was a proud United States Navy veteran and served many years. He worked for Boh Bros. Construction for 40 years. He retired at 62 to enjoy the bayou. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and entertaining and spoiling his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed.
