Robert “Bobby” Adams, 83, a longtime resident of Lockport and current resident of Houma, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Thursday, August 17th from 9 am until service time. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Bobby is survived by his children; Robert, Jr. (Melinda) Adams, Angela (Clint) Jabert, and Jennica (Errol) Champagne, grandchildren; Clint, Jr. (Katie) Jabert, Kaitlyn Adams, Hannah Adams (Justin), and Noah Champagne; sisters, Nancy Punch, Patsy Savoie, Era Jean (Michael Foret).
He is preceded in death by his parents; Clarence and Irene Gros Adams; brothers, Milton, Wilton, Dudley and Richard Adams; sisters, Rena Mae Falgout and Betty LeBlanc; mother of his children, Mary R. Adams Lowrimore.
Bobby was a crew boat captain before becoming disabled at a young age. He enjoyed fishing catfish and working on automobiles. He was a jack of all trades. He was a giving person who loved helping his neighbors, friends and family.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Oaks of Houma and Wendy Boudreaux, personal caregiver, for their care and compassion.
