Rita L. Lusignan, 79, a native and resident of Houma, met the Lord Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 6:20 p.m.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday, with burial at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Nolan Lusignan; daughter, Deborah and husband Chris Boquet; brother, George Thibodaux Jr.; grandson, David Boquet; former granddaughter-in-law, Nicole Boquet; and one great granddaughter, Cassie Boquet.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Julienne LeBoeuf; and brothers, Justilien Carlos, Edward LeBoeuf, Tom, Harry, Arthur, Harold and Randolph Luke.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Church and enjoyed gardening. The family wishes to express special thanks to the Oaks Nursing Home staff for their excellent care and concern for Mrs. Rita. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
