Rita Gisclair Cheramie

Rita Gisclair Cheramie, 96, a native and resident of Cut Off, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 4, 2019.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, LA. Religious services will be at 11:00 am Monday with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Eva Mae Felarise (Jimmy), Lora Hebert, Carolyn Matherne (Patrick); sisters, Lovinia Eymard, Lorrina Griffin; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ludvic “Billy” Cheramie; parents, Milien and Caroline Plaisance Gisclair; son-in-law, Clarence Hebert; granddaughter, Kathy Hebert; brothers, Antoine, Ebdon, Victor Sr., Leonce, Robertson, Norbert, Emilien, Morgan, Vinis and Linton Gisclair; and sisters, Eleonore Gaspard, Amilia Gisclair and Leoncia Duet.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
