Rita Theriot Bourgeois, 95, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Bourgeois Robichaux (Felton) and Deanne Theriot Bourgeois; daughter-in-law, Ann T. Bourgeous; grandchildren, Tessa and Scott Robichaux, Christian Oliver and Toni Leoni; great grandchildren, Amanda and Donavon Allemand, Jordan and Robyn Robichaux, Jack, Ethan and Greta Leoni and Ting Oliver and sister, Bessie Labat and niece Cynthia Miranda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton D. Bourgeois, Sr.; son, Milton D. Bourgeois, Jr.; parents, Alceste and Adolphine B. Theriot; brothers, Thomas, Adam and Joseph Theriot and sisters, Marie Guidry, Pearlie Champagne and Eve T. Zeringue.
Rita's special hobbies included taking care of "Rita's Roses" and playing rummy. Special thanks to her caregivers, Tessa Robichaux and Donna Adams and to Ochsner St. Ann 3rd floor staff, Thibodaux Healthcare Center and St. Joseph Hospice who took wonderful care of her.
