Rickey Joseph Rivero, 59, a native of Bridge City and resident of Raceland passed away on Saturday, June 11th, 2022
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the St. Charles Borromeo Mauret Center on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 from 9:30 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Rickey is survived by his mother: Patricia Z. Rivero; sister: Cathy (Ned) Dufrene; nephews: Aaron M. Dufrene, Taylor J. (Analie) Dufrene; niece: Katie A. Dufrene; great nephew and niece: Levi and Everleigh Dufrene, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Mr. Rivero was preceded in death by his father: Dennis J. Rivero; brother: David James Rivero, and grandparents: Cleveland and Delta J. Rivero and Dennis and Lillian G. Zeringue.
Rickey enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, crabbing, and living on Bayou Lafourche. He loved to be outdoors in nature, especially with his dog, Bandit. The Rivero family would like to thank the staff of Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center for the care and compassion provided to Mr. Rickey.
