Retta Troxler Champagne

Retta Troxler Champagne, 90 a native of Hahnville, La., resident of Edgard, La. for 33 years, and resident of Luling, La. for the past 36 years. Passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Retta is survived by her children, P.J. Champagne, II, James E. Champagne, Sr. (Carla Williams), Charlotte Champagne, Audrey (Benny) Raziano and Tracy Rousselle (Jody Buras); daughter-in-law, Michelle Champagne; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Retta was preceded in death by her husband, Francis X. “Frankie” Champagne, Sr.; son, Francis X. “Frankie, Jr.” Champagne, Jr.; brothers, Clifford, Leonard, Merlin and Leander Troxler; sisters, Hilda Brown and Elva Donnaud.
Retta was “MaMa Retta” to over 30 children who she babysat for over the years.
