Rena Plaisance Walker

Rena Plaisance Walker, 93, a native of Cut Off, LA and a resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Larose, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Bobby (Darlene) Walker; daughters, Bonnie (Royce) Guidry and Carla Charpentier; grandchildren, Heath, Heather (Robbie), Nicholas (Erin), Micah (Erica), Chris (Erica), Michael (Tara), MaryClaire (Brennan), Matthew (Brittany); great grandchildren, Ella, Meg, Griffin, Aubrie, Jordan, Liam, Millie, Noah, Lucienne, Nora, Ruby, Kiley and Emma; great-great grandson, Beaux; sister, AnnaBelle Savoie and sisters-in-law, Elsie Plaisance, Betty Plaisance and Katherine Walker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcide Joseph Walker, Jr.; son-in-law, Allen Charpentier; brothers, Taylor Plaisance, Eddie Plaisance, Freddie Plaisance and Euris Plaisance; sisters, Gertie Curole, Frances Bourgeois, ClaraBelle Gisclair and Earline Bourgeois.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Altar Society and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at the Larose Civic Center. Rena enjoyed playing Bridge and Pokeno, gardening and especially cooking and feeding all her family and friends.
