Reed Peter Barrios

Reed Peter Barrios, 63 a native of Galliano, Louisiana and resident of Cut Off, Louisiana passed away on May 7, 2022.

Visitation from be on Monday, May 16th, 2022 from 9:00 am until funeral time at Sacred Heart Catholic. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 44 years: Dana Cheramie Barrios; daughters: Alexis Nicole Barrios and Alyce Barrios Charpentier (Rustie); grandchildren: Lucy Elizabeth Charpentier and River John Charpentier; brother; Corbert Barrios (Anna), sister; Jackie Thibodaux (James).

Mr. Barrios was preceded in death by his parents; Roy J. Barrios and Laura Kiffe Barrios.

Reed was a very loving man, who adored his family, especially his grandchildren; his greatest joy was the title of “Pop”. He was a devout Catholic, very dedicated and very involved in Sacred Heart Catholic Church and attended many Journey’s to Christ and a member of the Pelican Club. Mr. Barrios was the former owner of Black Orchid Florist and La Bonne Terre Landscaping and member of the Palm Society and Fern Society. He loved plants, gardening, working in his yard, traveling and experiencing history, culture, and cuisine and his extensive collection of cookbooks.
