Rebecca Nadine Camus entered this world on January 5, 2021 at 1:27am. She came to this Earth loved by countless souls, and while we weren't quite ready for her premature arrival, we were even less prepared for her untimely passing. Rebecca Nadine had a rare genetic disorder that took her life on January 5, 2021 at 8:06am.
Rebecca is survived by her mother Gloria Camus, her mom Laurie Guidry, her 4 sisters, Genevieve, Emoree, Leelyn and Everlee, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends that have become family.
Every member of the extended family joined together in the joy of watching her grow, looking at her through ultrasounds, listening to her heartbeat, and even talking to her through her mommy's belly. Rebecca had Everlee's eyes and her mommy's nose. Her hair was as dark as the midnight sky, and her spirit as fierce as the love we all have for her.
While her life may have been short, Rebecca Nadine has left an impact on all who knew her, even those who never held her. Our lives are forever changed, but better for having loved her. While we navigate through adjusting to this tragic loss, we are reminded of the importance of loving one another unconditionally and selflessly. Our love for Rebecca remains, as does her spirit. Her memory will live on through those who love her, and shall teach us all of the things most important in life.
