Raynold "Ray" Chiasson Sr, 89, a native and resident of Larose, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Andy (Hope) Chiasson Sr., Raynold (companion Barbara) Chiasson Jr., Tommy (Kathleen) Chiasson, Keith (Gwen) Chiasson, and Chad (Tina) Chiasson; brother, Eugene Chiasson; sisters, Mildred Rousse and Mary Jane Cheramie; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Theresa O. Chiasson; parents, Arthur Chiasson Sr. and Nora B. Chiasson; and brothers, Phillip "P.J." Chiasson Sr., Arnold Chiasson, and Arthur "A.J." Chiasson Jr.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
