Raymond P. Matherne
December 7, 1933 — February 9, 2019
Raymond P. Matherne, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice “Cookie” Danos (Richard) and Ramona Matherne (Robby Adams); grandchildren, Harley Danos and Ashley Adams (Joey Adams Jr.); and step grandson, Emmett Adams; great grandchildren, the apples of his eyes, Carlie Danos and Carter Adams; brother, Keith Matherne and sister, DeAnna Matherne Boudreaux.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Matherne; parents, Barrios and Anna Matherne; brothers, Kenneth, Claude Sr. and Glenn Matherne and sister, Evelyn Minchew.
Raymond loved fishing, telling jokes and spending time with family and friends.
