Ray Bourgeois, age 81, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away peacefully with family around him on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Nativity Church on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 9:00 until 11:00 am. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am with a private burial to follow.
Ray is survived by his wife, Elaine L. Bourgeois; sons, Wayne Bourgeois and wife Holly, Randy Bourgeois and wife Phyllis, Dana Bourgeois and wife Cynthia, Kent Bourgeois and wife Nichol; foster son, Philip Gros and companion, Phaedra; daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Bourgeois Foshee, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Garrett; sister-in-law, Velma Brunet and 3 canine companions, Pixie, Neekee and Pandi as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Bourgeois and Mildred Falgout Bourgeois; son, Tommy R. Bourgeois; father and mother-in-law, Gracien and Blanche Laquette, brothers-in-law, Richard and Roland Luquette; sister-in-law, Amelie L. Hebert and son-in-law, Randy Foshee.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is entrusted with arrangements.
