Raoul "Nue" Ledet Jr., 82, a native and resident of Galliano, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by his wife of 63 years, Verges C. Ledet; one son, Rodney Ledet; one daughter, Joycelyn Grammar; four grandchildren, Celeste Sanamo and husband Scott, Jarrod Robichaux and wife Rachel, Lori Grammar, and Lisa Grammar; and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Sanamo, Luke John Sanamo, and Rian Nicole Grammer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raoul Ledet Sr. and Ella Pierce Ledet; one son-in-law, Kyle Gramma, one daughter-in-law, Adrienne Ledet; and two brothers, Mervin Ledet and Herrick Ledet.
He was a parishioner of of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of their Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3150.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong trawler in the South Lafourche community.
Falgout Funeral Homes of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
