Randal J. Moertle, of Lockport, LA., passed away on January 10, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Randy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dixie Henley of Malone, TX., his two daughters Cassie Rome of Raceland, LA. and Ashley Chaisson of Lockport, LA. his four granddaughters Cheyanne Doiron, Evelyn Chaisson,Regan Chaisson and Chastity Rome of Chackbay, La., his sisters Debbie Moertle Kirby of Ft. Worth TX. and Lorrain Moertle of Scottsdale, AZ, his nephews Shane Kirby of Ft. Worth, Tx and James Jackson Litson of St. George, Utah, his nieces Tajia Moertle of Scottsdale, AZ, Jasmine Moertle Litson of St. George, Utah and Holly Kirby of Ft. Worth, TX.
Randy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather that served his family utterly and completely on a daily basis. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lockport for 31 years were he served as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Mentor.
Randy was a wildlife biologist and land manager with a career spanning more than 40 years. He was owner and operator of Randy Moertle and Associates. He was a member of the Louisiana Land Owners Association, Louisiana Fur and Alligator Council, coordinator of the Rainey Conservation Alliance, consultant for Avery Island, and Clovelly Lands.
