R.J. Cheramie Jr.; 92, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

Mr. R.J. is survived by his son: Reed Cheramie (Stephanie); daughter: Valli Cheramie Cantrelle; grandchildren: Erin Cantrelle Friedlander (Scott), Celeste Cantrelle Barrios (Brody), and Tori Cheramie; great-grandchildren: Alex, Isabelle, Kate Friedlander, Grace, and Evan Barrios, canine companion: Molly Rose; brother: Raymond “Frip” Cheramie, and sister: Meryl Chiasson.
Mr. Cherame was preceded in death by his wife: Jeanette Bouzigard Cheramie; parents: Rudolph and Rosema Duet Cheramie; and brothers: Eldon “Al” Cheramie, and Rodney Cheramie.
He was a proud Marine Corps Veteran who served during WWII, member of American Legion Post 259, a long serving President of the Exxon Retirement Club and a proud grandfather and great grandfather.
