Philip Toups, Sr.

Philip J. Toups Sr., a native of the St. Charles Community and resident of Raceland, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by three children, Phyllis Toups Robichaux and husband, Dickie, Theresa Toups Brocato and husband, Jimmy, and Philip Toups Jr. and wife, Debbie; five grandchildren, Todd Robichaux and wife, Michelle, Rachelle Robichaux Boyd and husband, Andy, Cy Toups and wife, Renee, Celeste Robichaux and Neal Toups; seven great-grandchildren, Jeanne and Joshua Robichaux, Kyle, Alyssa, and Zoe Boyd, and Sarah Grace and Claire Toups; two brothers, Joseph E. Toups Jr. and Louis Toups; and one sister, Dorothy Toups.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Theresa Toups Toups; his parents, Joseph E. and Laura Sevin Toups; three brothers, Paul, Francis, and Leo Toups; and two sisters, Katherine and Margaret Toups.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired welder and mechanical construction contractor.
