Peter Paul "Mr. Pete" Falgout, 84, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, April 20, 2015 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Audrey M. Falgout; son, Ricky A. Falgout and wife Nettie; daughter, Arlene F. Callais and husband Jim; sister, Marie Arabie; grandchildren, Margaret, Ryan, Craig, Jimmy, JoAnna; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre and Lucille C. Falgout; brothers, Bobby and Norman Falgout; sisters, Marjorie "Sis" Martin and infant Mabel Falgout and grandchild, Hope Danielle Callais and great grandchild, Ana Claire Guidroz.
Peter was a loving , kind and compassionate husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather, and friend who was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. He was a painter, welder and layout man for Avondale Shipyards which he retired from. He was an honorable discharged Army Veteran and a member of the VFW and Woodman of the World. His love for life, kids, grandkids and most of all fishing, hunting and gardening was shared by all.
Many thanks to the staff of Ochsner St. Anne Hospital, Ochsner Family Doctors and Specialty Clinic, Hospice of South Louisiana, caregivers, especially Ms. Shirley Day whom he loved dearly, and all his loving family and friends who helped take excellent care of him throughout his time of need.
