Paulette Matherne Leonard

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paulette Matherne Leonard who left us far too soon. Paulette, a native of Des Allemands, LA, and a resident of Thibodaux, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025. 

Visitation will be from 9:30 Am until 11:00 AM Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. Religious service will be at 11:00 AM with private burial to follow. 

 She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion cherished by her children Terry de Jager (Arno), Kenneth Adams (Angele), and Renee Guidry (Joshua). Paulette's warmth and unwavering support for her children will remain in their hearts forever. She was also survived by her siblings Leotha Ayo and Ava Mobley; grandchildren Hunter Adams, Mason Adams, Laith Druen, and Madison Druen. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan Leonard; parents, Norman and Gladys Matherne, and sister, Diana Douglas. 

 Paulette had a zest for life which she shared with everyone she met. She had a deep love for antiquing, dancing, and caring for her beloved animals. Paulette dedicated her career to working as a marine underwriter at Marcello Agency in Lockport, where she was known for her kind demeanor. Her warm personality touched all she came to know. Her bright energy will be missed by many.
