Paul C. Plaisance, 94, a native of Cut Off and resident of Marrero passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
A Private Graveside Service was held at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Thursday, December 30th at 1:00 p.m.
He is survived by his daughters, Lucille deBen, Sandra Victoriano, Paula (Donald) Melancon, Lynn Plaisance and Mary (Jay) Ockman; grandchildren, Michelle, Melanie, Michael, Tanya, Stephanie, Anjele, Alex, JoAnna, Avery and Jayna; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Doris Rita Esponge Plaisance; parents, Ecton, Sr. and Jeanne L. Plaisance; siblings, Ecton J. “E.J.” Plaisance, Jr., Rita P. Thibodeaux, Junius Plaisance, Mary Jane Plaisance and Matilda Plaisance; grandchild, Annie; sons-in-law, Mickey deBen and Leroy Victoriano.
Paul was a self-taught and successful contractor for over 50 years. He was blessed with many talents and served his clients with custom home designs. He left his mark on the Greater New Orleans area and beyond. He was an Army Veteran and an active member, treasurer and commander of the Overseas Veterans Club of Harvey, LA, V.F.W. Post # 9034.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
