Paul Joseph Lyons

Paul Joseph Lyons, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. He was a native and resident of Chauvin, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin on Friday, January 26, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until A Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. with burial following in church cemetery.

Paul is survived by his wife of 71 years, Irene Marie LeCompte Lyons; son Timothy J. Lyons and wife, Merita; daughter, Paula L. Sons; brothers, Julius Lyons; sisters, Felica “Fee” Lirette and husband, Wilton, Jr., and Vera Picou; sisters-in-law, Joann and Sadie Lyons; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his son, Dale P. Lyons and wife, Judy; son-in-law, Merville “Butch” Sons, Jr.; parents, Paola Joseph Sr. and Ezilda Margaret Charpentier Lyons; brothers, Paola Lyons, Jr. and wife, Mamie, Richard Lyons and wife, Judy, Burton Lyons, Malcom “Mac” Lyons, and Michael “Mike” Lyons; sisters, Della Rose Lapeyrouse and husband, Walter, Wilda “Teetsie” LeBouef and husband, Willis “Bay”; brother-in-law, Errol Picou; sister-in-law, Marilee Lyons.
