Oris Samanie Parker

Oris Samanie Maronge Parker, age 89, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was a native of Bayou Blue and resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg on Saturday, February 17, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.

Oris is survived by her son, Timothy “Tim” Maronge and wife, Mona, and Steven Parker and wife, Candace; daughter, Debra “Debbie” M. Huffine; and grandchildren, Amber Maronge, Alexis Parker and Tory Parker.

Oris was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Earl Paul Maronge, Jr. and 2nd husband, Louis Parker; son Keith P. Maronge and wife, Carol; son-in-law, Glenn R. Huffine; parents, Adney Paul and Ernestine Hebert Samanie; brothers, Norris, Alton, and Enest Samanie; and sisters, Myrtle Ledet, Bridget Babin, Mildred LeBlanc, Lena Daigle, Hazel Darcey, Evadence Boudreaux, and Gloria Naquin
