Opal Bourgeois Legendre

Opal Bourgeois Legendre, 82, a native and resident of Luling, LA passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, in Luling, LA.

Opal is survived by her sons, Neil (Reneé) Legendre, Ted Legendre; daughters, Holly Kinler (Mickey) and Sandy Legendre; grandchildren, Courtney (Casey), Oneil IV, Cassie, Megan (Dusty), Taylor, Ted Jr., Harlie, Mikey (Mikayla) and Hallie; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Warner and Roan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, OJ Legendre Jr.; parents, Onyx and Lillie St. Amant Bourgeois and brother, Gary Bourgeois.

Opal was the Owner and Director of Small World Daycare and Learning Center in Destrehan for 30 years.

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
