Novella Mae Chiasson Ledet, 99, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was a native of Raceland and resident of Lockport, LA.
A private Service to be held.
Novella is survived by her sons, Robert A. Ledet and wife, Donna, and Richard T. Ledet and wife, Terre; daughters, Angela L. Corbin and husband, John C., and Annette L. Foster and husband, William; grandchildren, Dwight Ledet, Jason C. Corbin, Kelly C. Kumar, Jennifer Corbin-Johnson, Charles “Mac” Corbin, Kate C. Stewart, Jared Ledet, Benjamin Ledet, Aimee F. Porche, and Alyce Foster; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Novella was preceded in death by her husband, Hampton Joseph Ledet; parents, Thomas Valery and Angele Marie Knight Chiasson; grandson, David H. Ledet; brother, Eddy Chiasson; and sisters, Bessie Toups, and Ester Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Novella Ledet’s name.
