Norman Joseph Gaudet, 84, a native of Raceland and resident of Thibodaux, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial at Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.
He is survived by six sons, Teddy Gaudet and wife, Connie, Joseph Gaudet and wife, Reba, Wayne "Rooster" Gaudet and wife, Bevarly, Keith Gaudet, Rene Gaudet and wife, Donna, and Carron "Paul" Gaudet and wife, Marlene; one daughter, Cherylann Zeringue; three brothers, Noland, Arthur, and Ray Gaudet; and 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchidren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene and Blanche Bourgeois Gaudet; one daughter, Rosetta Gaudet; one grandchild, Norman M. Gaudet; and two brothers, Earl Gaudet and Benton Gaudet.
He was a World War II Navy veteran from 1944-1947.
