Nolan P. Rogers, 90, a native of Larose and resident of Gibson, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Rogers Antill; grandchild, Ryan Paul Matherne; great-grandchild, Stephen Michael Guidry; and sisters, Rose Cheramie, Mabel Loslin, Geraldine Mayeur and Ruth Eymard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viella Marie St. Pierre Rogers; parents, Edgar and Olivia Vegas Rogers; grandson, Marc Anthony Pitre; brother, Early Rogers; and sisters, Shirley Plaisance and Carrie Cheramie.
