Neville A. Hobson

Neville A. Hobson,78, a native of York, England and resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025.

A visitation will be held in his honor at Falgout Funeral Home, in Galliano, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

Neville is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jill Daviet Hobson; daughter, Alice Hobson; son, George Hobson and cousin, Sue Hobson Ward.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alan Hobson and Ina R. Hobson.

After working in and falling in love with England, Jill returned in 1988, for a visit and was introduced to Neville. Neville, a larger than life character with his own pub called The John Bull Inn, in York, England. After moving to Falxton, England, with intent of starting a family, a second pub was acquired, the 18th century, The Blacksmith’s Arms. Our two beautiful children were born in Falxton. Neville moved to Louisiana in 1995, to bring out children closer to their grandparents; bringing his Yorkshiremen flare to Louisiana.
