Nason Joseph Dupuy, 82, a native of Marksville and a resident of Houma, passed away at his home at 9:29 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Autin Dupuy; daughter, Patty Dolese and husband, Nolan; sons, Dwayne Dupuy, and Greg Dupuy and fiancee, Lisa Wright; grandson, Corey Dupuy and fiancee, Jessica Lafrance; granddaughter, Courtney Dolese; great-grandson, Chanler Grasper; and aunt, Nelva Dupuy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie and Velma Dupuy.
Nason served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired assistant principal and teacher for 43 years in the Terrebonne Parish school system. He touched many lives throughout his teaching career, and he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
