Myriel C. Chiasson, 86, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 6th at 11 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Myriel is survived by her husband of 71 years, Eugene J. Chiasson; children, Gary (Barbara), Robin Cheramie (Philip), MonaRaye Champagne (Juice), Gwendolyn Felarise (Ezeman), Rudy (Christy), Eric (Tanya); grandchildren, Sandy Fergerson, Lloydman Champagne III, Anita Cheramie, Kenneth Chiasson, Ezeman Felarise III, Kelli Chiasson, Erica Chiasson; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and brother, Raymond “Frip” Cheramie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Cheramie and Rosema D. Cheramie; brothers, R.J., Eldon and Rodney Cheramie.
