Murphy not only received a Bachelor's Degree from Nicholls State University in Petroleum Safety but also studied the LSAT and was accepted to Louisiana State University Law School. But fate had other plans for him… he returned home and started his journey with ExxonMobil. He stayed with Exxon for over 20 years and planned to retire in March 2022.

He was passionate about everything on the Ponderosa from cooking for his family and friends to working his cattle.

His faith was steadfast in the Lord and through all of life’s hardships, his love for Him never waivered.

He looked forward to his daily coffee visits with his 103 yr. old mother who he loved dearly. He lived for his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, canine companion, Jackson, and all of his friends.

Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
