Morris Jay Bouzigard, 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
He was a resident of Galliano and Valentine, LA. An avid fisherman, crabber and hunter. He worked as a welder, offshore industry and merchant mariner. A member of US Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.
Jay is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gayle S. Bouzigard; daughter, Dana; son, Tirk Bouzigard; granddaughters, Danielle Riggins, Emilly Lirette, Ellie Bouzigard; grandson, Max Bouzigard; brother, Donald E. Bouzigard (Dolores); Keith Bouzigard (Tammy); sister, Tammy Bouzigard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice (Priscilla) Bouzigard; mother, Thelma Bouffanie; sister, Mona Bouzigard; brother, Ronald and granddaughter, Sierra.
The family would like to give thanks to his fishing buddies and friends, Dennis Lirette and Ronald Johnson, for their support and giving him his last fishing memories. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
