Monita Marie Duet Rousse, age 88, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:17 p.m. She was a native and resident of Galliano, LA.

Relatives and friend of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Christian Family Center in Galliano on Thursday, June 9, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.

Monita is survived by her sons, Tommie Rousse and wife, Darlene, and Nathan P. Rousse; grandchildren, Chera Kee Trosclair, Skeat Rousse, Troy Rousse, Opal Felarise, Monique Rousse, Johnathan Rousse, Jeremy Rousse, and Brooke Rousse; great-grandchildren, Cole Trosclair, Trey Rousse, Brandt Rousse, Myles Rousse, Aspen Rousse, Londyn Rousse, Justin Felarise, and one on the way Wesley Rousse.

Monita was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Alcide Rousse Jr.; son,, Troy J. Rousse; daughter, Infant Rousse; brothers, Cliff, Jesse, Jim, George, and Wilfred Jr. “Franko” Duet; sisters, Fredia Cheramie, Augustine Dufrene, Rita Dufrene, Nita Cheramie, and Edith Pierce.
