Mildred Mustin

d. May 17, 2015

Mildred "Millie" Margaret Pellegrin Hebert Mustin, 91, left this earth to make her final journey home early Sunday morning, May 17, 2015.

Visitation will be held at Christ Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Christ Baptist Church where Millie and her husband Glenn were members. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Born November 10, 1923 to a trapper and a homemaker in Upper Little Caillou, Millie was the youngest of five children and was the first in her family to graduate from high school. Millie worked at Bell Telephone Co., Morgan & Lindsey Dept. Store and Houma Bargain Store before she devoted the rest of her life to caring for others. She was a very proud and honored to have cared for her parents, a brother, a sister and both husbands in their times of severe illness. Above all, Millie loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, and was truly a kind and faithful servant.

Millie leaves behind one son; Lynn "Corky" Mustin and wife Debbie; two granddaughters: Amanda Mustin Mattingly and husband John and Mary Beth Cormier and husband Nick; stepdaughter-in-law Peggy Mustin; step grandchildren: Laurie Whitworth and husband Doug and Kevin Mustin; along with numerous beloved step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She has joyfully rejoined her loved ones who have gone before; first husband Robert "Chick" Hebert; second husband Glenn Mustin; parents Deska and Elmire Pellegrin; siblings Henry and Armond Pellegrin, Julia Griffin and Edna Lord Bailey; stepson Glenn "Bobby" Mustin and step grandson, William "Bill" Mustin.

Today, the sun shines a little less brightly without Millie, but Heaven has grown ever richer. For 91 years, Millie was a force to be reckoned with, ever generous, full of spunk, quick to pick and joke around. She loved fiercely and made us laugh whole-heartedly. She was our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. We will miss you, our dear Millie.
