Michael A. Thomassie, 53, a native and resident of Larose, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hebert Thomassie; son, Ryan Thomassie; daughter, Casey Callais and husband, Glen Jr.; grandchildren, Kaden Callais, Karmyn Callais and Lundun Thomassie; father, Jerry Thomassie Sr.; and brother, Jerry "Punkin" Thomassie Jr. and wife, Mary "Suzy" Thomassie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Thomassie.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
