Merle Ann Savoie

Merle Ann Savoie, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Merle was a native and lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved gambling and traveling to the Casino's. She also loved to crochet for family and friends. Merle was an awesome cook and loved to camp and fish. She is survived by two sons, Ralph Savoie and wife Liz, Miles Savoie and wife Myrna, two daughters, Gwen Breaux and husband Perry, Suzette Lottinger and husband Timothy, sister, Shirley Theriot. seven grandchildren, Craig Breaux, Steven Savoie,, Nicholas Savoie, Racheal Hebert, Jessica Benoit and husband Jace, Robert Savoie and wife Katrina, Bradley Hebert, six great-grandchildren, Braydon Hebert, Dante Burke, Addison Benoit, Bennie Hebert, Katheryn Hebert, Evan Benoit and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin P. Savoie, parents, Rufus and Gertie Trahan Bonvillain and two brothers, Louis Bonvillain and Ulysse Bonvillain. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home of Houma and again on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery II. Falgout Funeral Home of Houma entrusted with arrangements.
