Melvin "Gene" E. Owens, 73, a native of Magnolia, AK and a resident of Raceland, died on July 14, 2012.
A visitation will be held on Wed. July 18, 2012 from 5 pm. to 9 pm. at Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland. A burial will follow at the Sardis Cemetery in Stamps, AK.
He was survived by his wife, Pat Smith Owens, sons, Charles R. Owens and wife Lisa, and Donald A. Owens, brother, Bryan McMahen, sisters, Susan Goodwin, and Colette Owens, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Mildred Evers Owens step mother, Laverne Owens, and son, Melvin E. Owens Jr.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
