Melva Orgeron Bouvier, 83, a native and resident of Larose, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose on Saturday, July 23 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Melva is survived by her children, Allen Bouvier (Diana), Annette LaSala (Carl), Dixie Vegas (Moise), Angela Guidry (Scottie), Roxanne Rogers (Chris); 14 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren; sister Elaine Orgeron Gisclair and sisters-in-law, Cornelia "CoCo" Orgeron, Mazie Orgeron and Joan Bouvier Callais.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rickie Bouvier; parents, Julien and Maria Savoie Orgeron; sister, Irene Scurlock and brothers, Alvae, Julien, Jr., Maurice "Candy", Rodney, Harrington, Loyman, Medwick, Paul "Piche", Alvin and Edward "Baba".
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
