Melinda C. Champagne

Melinda Marie C. Champagne, 61, a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 12:02 am, surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. Religious services will be at 11:00 am with the burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA.
She is survived by her two sons, Joshua Champagne (Precious) and Jake Champagne; her loving companion, Jody Matherne; 9 grandkids, Kaden, Marenza, Zoe, Branson, Percy, Eddy, Jaxton, Noah and Legend. She was also survived by her siblings, Tommy Champagne (Annette), Roylene Breaux, Shelly Lagarde (Chris) and Donna Mire (Scott).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddy Champagne; mother and father, Roy and Helen Champagne; mother-in-law, Mary LeBlanc Champagne; brother-in-law, William “Billy” Breaux and nephew, Andy Griffin.
Melinda loved to go fishing but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. They were her life and heart. She loved to help anyone in need. She had the biggest heart. It was full of kindness, compassion and love. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt but most of all she was a good friend. In time of despair and distress she knew faith would get her through.
