Melva Vice Pierce, 74, a native and resident of Houma, died on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Falgout Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at the church, with burial to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, John Dupre Pierce; children, Debbie Baker, Michael J. Pierce and Todd A. Pierce; sister, Brenda Tanner; brother, Patrick Vice; grandchildren, Amy Baker, Kristen, Jennifer, and Katelynn Pierce, and Samantha Castro; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thaddeus and Zulma Ledet Vice; and brother, Floyd Phillip Vice.
She was an avid Saints fan and loved Mardi Gras and Christmas.
