Maugarite “Mazie” Foret Dufrene, 99, a native of Raceland and a resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Services will be private.
She is survived by her son, Nathan Roy Dufrene (Pam); daughter, Evelyn Dufrene Bartenhagen (Carl); grandchildren , Michael Bartenhagen, Katherine Merkley (Dave), David Dufrene and Brian King (Darlene); great grandchildren, Allison, Cassidy and Broc Bartenhagen, Jacob, Zachary and Andrew Merkley, Cody and Bailey King and Kayleigh Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dufrene; parents, Leo Foret Jr. and Theresa Theriot Foret; brother, Hubert Foret and sister, Annabelle Foret.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Ormond Nursing and Care Center and St. Catherine’s Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
