Maryann Marie Gisclair Griffin, 76, a native and resident of Cut Off, LA, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Christian Fellowship Church, Cut Off, LA. Religious services at 12:00 PM, Friday at Christian Fellowship Church with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Joseph Griffin; sons, Randy Griffin and wife Donna, Tony Griffin and wife Joy, Andy Griffin and wife Rhonda; daughters, Bonnie Griffin, Susan Cheramie; brothers, Sam Gisclair, Roy Guidry, Morris Guidry; sisters, Emelda Cheramie, Hattie St. Pierre, Dot Martin, Adele Curole; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Jean Gisclair and Soliska Cheramie Gisclair; adoptive parents, Morris and Clara Gisclair Guidry; son-in-law, Chris Cheramie; brothers, Val and Larry Gisclair, Parrison Guidry and sister Melva Gisclair.
Maryann was president of Women's Department of Galliano Assembly of God, teacher of Y's for 16 years. Sunday School teacher at United Methodist Church for 20 years, member of Eastern Star. Her hobbies included cooking and baking for her family, knitting, crocheting, sewing, fishing, trawling, golfing, raising chickens and gardening. She loved her children and grandchildren very much.
