Mary "Ethel" Sharp, 89, a native of Clio and resident of Houma, died at 5:21 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Freddie Jr., Barry Sr., and wife, Linda, and Jarrell Sr. and wife, Tammy Melancon; daughter, Georgia Domangue; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Sr. and Mary Redmond Sharp; son, Steven Melancon Sr.; brothers, Isaac Jr. and Harvey Sharp Sr.; and sister, Mabel Demarco.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church in Houma. She was loved by family and friends and liked by everyone who met her. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
