Mary Guidry McKey, 86, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time today at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon today at the church, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
She is survived by sons, S. Allen McKey Jr. and wife, Brenda, and David P. McKey and wife, Chrystal of Houma; daughters, Mary McKey Adoue and husband, Larry, and Linda McKey Ellender of Houma; grandchildren, Nolan Adoue, Richard Daigneault and wife, Sonya, Keith Daigneault, Danny Ellender, Dustin Ellender, Ashley McKey Callahan and husband, Jeremy, Brent Allen and Dylan McKey; great-grandchildren, Justin Boudreaux, Drake Daigneault, Ali Daigneault and Hunter Daigneault.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S. Allen McKey Sr.; her parents, Ernest and Pamela Rhodes Guidry; daughter, Judy McKey Boudreaux; brothers, Clifford and Ojeeg "Flit" Guidry; and sisters, Mildred Guidry, Doris Martin and Marjorie Kappel.
The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice and Suzanne Smith, the nurses from Haydel Hospice, Tammy, Christie and Ann for the love and care shown during her illness, and a special thanks to Patti Voss for always being there for us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Haydel Memorial Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association , P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C., 20090-6001.
