Mary Lee Rosa Bernard, 93, a native of Hammond and resident of Golden Meadow, passed away Friday, June 14, in New Orleans.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, in Golden Meadow, on Thursday, June 20th from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the church mausoleum.
Mary Lee is survived by her sons, Wade (Cheryl) Bernard and David (Marla) Bernard; grandchildren, Pamela Claytor and Danny Rodriguez; great-grandchildren Joseph, Eva, Jeremiah, Natalie, Victoria and Juliette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Bernard; brothers Mike, Sam and Joe Rosa; sisters Sarah St. John, Vita Manguno, Theresa Thibodeaux and Lena Robertson
Mary Lee was a member of the Krewe of Nereids and was Queen Nereids XXIV; the Ladies of Lasalette, American Legion Post 259 Auxiliary; and a former board member of South Lafourche Ambulance District No. 1.
The family would like to thank caregivers Cindy Serigny, Stella Hebert and Greta Wainwright and the staff of St. Margaret’s at Mercy in New Orleans.
