Mary "Jane" H. Franks, 72, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie K. Franks; two sons, Larry and wife, Trudy, and James "Kevin" and wife, Peggy Franks; one daughter, Cherly and husband, Lance Benson; grandchildren, Tara, Jessica, Chelsey, Heidi, Shelly, Christen, Kyle, Brett, Nathan, Lauren and LeeAnn; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Hayden, Hailey, Landyn, Kennedy, Violet and London; seven brothers, Anthony "Tony", Arthur, Jean "Paul", Ronald "David", Rodney "Joe", Frankie, and Preston "Russell" Hebert; and sisters, Theresa "Mae" Rhodes, Augustine "Tee" Aizen, Pauline Souza and Yvette Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odelon and Eva Billiot Hebert; and brother, Raymond Hebert.
She was an avid gardener who loved flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband who was a member of the HOG group. She traveled extensively with her husband in the Air Force and volunteered at Kadene Air Base Hospital in Okinawa while he was stationed there.
