Mary Elizabeth Hitt

Mary Elizabeth Hitt, 58, a native and resident of Raceland, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. 

She is survived by her brothers, Harry Lawson Hitt II (Mae), John Hitt, James Hitt I (Penny), Charles Hitt (Crystal), and David Hitt (Melinda); sisters, Wanda Karen Hunter (Selena), Anne Hitt (Alphonse), and Jane Motley (Richard); sixteen nieces and nephews; and 24 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Lawson Hitt I and Wanda St. Romain Hitt; and grandparents, Martin and Rita St. Romain, and Jack and Lucile Hitt.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral home in Raceland on Thursday, October 3rd from 8:00 am until 10:45 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery.
