Mary Frances Pace Herrin

Mary Frances Pace Herrin, 83, a native of Many, LA and resident of Galliano, LA, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

 Visitation will be held at South Lafourche Church of the Resurrection, formally United Methodist Church, E 162nd St. Galliano, LA 70354, on Monday, February 3rd from 10 am until service time. A funeral service will be celebrated in her honor at 12 noon with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.

 Mary Frances is survived by her husband of 62 years, H. Harwell Herrin; daughters, Elizabeth H. Comeaux (Chuck), Susan H. Bruce (Mark), Molly H. Bourgeois Estay (Timmy); grandchildren, Britton (Caitlyn) and Taylor Comeaux, Quenton (Caitlin) Bruce, Madelyn and Bennett Bourgeois; great-grandchildren, Henley, Everley and Haisley Comeaux and sister, Betsy Ristroph.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. George and Frances Stephens Pace; granddaughter, MaryKate Bruce; son-in-law, Mike Bourgeois and in-laws, Horace and Lady Ruth Herrin.

 Mary Frances lived her life to the fullest. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend - she was the heart of our family. She was very involved and dedicated to rebuilding her church. She enjoyed shopping and going to LSU events, but most of all she loved being with her family. She was always there for her grandchildren, never missing an event and cheering them on every step of the way. Known as "Granny" to all, she embraced not only her own grandchildren but also their friends. 

She was our biggest fan and the keeper of traditions that made every gathering special. While our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is watching over us, keeping up with all our latest adventures.
