Mary Frances Cornwell

Mary Frances Cornwell, 97, a native of Leighton, AL, resident of Lonoke, AR and former resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, October 16, 2023 and from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Des Allemands Mennonite Church. Religious services will be at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Grover Cornwell, Ben Cornwell, Margaret Tipton and Robert Cornwell; grandchildren, Jonathan, Carissa, Charles, Nicole, Shane, Travis, Benjamin, Blake, Brad, Brent, Brian, Terry, Tracey, Shae, Tosha, Jason, Wesley, Aaron, Lindsay and many great grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Murray “Charlie” Cornwell, Sr., sons, Charles Murray “Peck” Cornwell, Jr. and Billy Cornwell, daughter, Frances Ann Ponge; parents, Lester and Zora Conley and sister, Imajean Musgrove.
Frances’ number one priority was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She strived to please everyone around her. Her hobbies included raising flowers, embroidery and cross stitching. She was the definition of a perfect mother.
