Marlene C. Hernandez

Marlene C. Hernandez, 91, native of Bourg and resident of Raceland, passed away Thursday April 3, 2025.

She is survived by her daughters Mary Pitre (Barry Gaubert), Sylvia “Ms. Syl” Estay; Son Dane Hernandez (Jane Faulk); Brothers Dale Charpentier, Arlen Charpentier (Clara); Sister Dwitha Griffin (Steve); grandchildren Thea Arnold (Brent), Marcel Estay; Great Grandchildren and loves of her life Peyton, Brennon, Adyson, Braxton and Dawson Arnold.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband C.J. Hernandez; brothers Michael Charpentier, Jimmy Charpentier; sister Sherry Charpentier.

Marlene was also known as “Maw Maw” by many friends and loved ones. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She also loved finding a good garage sale with hidden treasures.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 8th, 2025 at St. Hilary of Poitiers from 9:00am until service time. A mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in the church cemetery.
